What to Expect
Your First Session,
Start to Finish.
Nothing is booked before a clinician has examined you and confirmed shockwave therapy is the right treatment for your injury.
A Consultation First
Your first visit starts with a consultation so we understand your pain, injury or condition — and can tell you whether shockwave therapy is the right fit before anything is scheduled.
10 to 15 Minutes
Gel goes on the painful area so the sound waves travel properly, then a handheld device delivers them to the tissue. The treatment itself takes 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the area.
Soreness, Not Downtime
You may feel mild soreness or tenderness over the treated area for a few hours. There is no recovery period — most people go straight back to normal activity the same day.
Usually 3 to 6 Sessions
Most conditions take more than one visit. The majority of patients notice a meaningful improvement after three to six sessions, depending on severity and how the body responds.

Everything You
Need to Know.
What is Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing, improve circulation, and reduce pain in injured muscles, tendons, and joints.
Is Shockwave Therapy safe?
Yes. It is a non-invasive treatment that has been used successfully for decades to treat musculoskeletal disorders, with minimal if any side effects.
Does Shockwave Therapy hurt?
There will be some discomfort involved in the procedure, but normally it is manageable. We can also reduce the intensity to make you more comfortable.
What conditions can Shockwave Therapy treat?
Shockwave therapy can treat nearly any musculoskeletal problem, and people with both chronic and acute conditions can achieve relief. The conditions we treat most often include tendonitis and tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff injuries, sports injuries such as sprains and strains, chronic pain and inflammation including tennis elbow, calcific tendinitis and bursitis, and post-surgical recovery.
Can Shockwave Therapy be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Shockwave therapy is often combined with physical therapy, massage, or chiropractic treatment for improved recovery.
