Questions Answered
Everything You
Need to Know.
What is nutrient and metabolic optimization?
It is a personalized approach to understanding your nutritional and metabolic needs through testing, body composition analysis, and nutrition guidance. We all have different metabolic needs, and being deficient or depleted of various nutrients can have downstream effects on the body, ranging from fatigue to chronic disease.
What causes nutrient deficiencies?
They can stem from poor diet, gut malabsorption, medications, stress, illness, pregnancy, aging and genetics. Certain drugs — antibiotics, acid-blockers and contraceptives among them — can deplete vitamins and minerals such as B vitamins, magnesium and zinc.
How do I know if I have a nutrient deficiency?
We evaluate your nutrition status with comprehensive blood work, food allergy and food sensitivity testing, InBody Composition Analysis, questionnaires, diet recall and analysis, and comprehensive gastrointestinal stool analysis. With diagnostic blood testing and food sensitivity testing we are able to determine what your individual macro and micronutrient needs are.
What is InBody Composition Analysis?
We use the state-of-the-art InBody Composition Analysis, which goes beyond a traditional body composition analysis in order to break down body fat percentage, basal metabolic rate, lean body mass, water weight and more. It is key for evaluating protein stores and muscle analysis as we work to optimize both your macro and micronutrient intake.
Can nutrition support healthy weight management?
Trouble losing weight is one of the issues nutrient and metabolic optimization can help mitigate. Whether your goal is fat loss or muscle gain, the InBody analysis gives individualized feedback for precise progress tracking, and we combine that with comprehensive testing and diet analysis to build a plan that works for you.
How quickly will I feel better?
Many clients report increased energy and improved mood within four to six weeks. Full optimization can take three to six months depending on the severity and complexity of the depletion.
